1. Introduction
HomeScore ("we", "us", or "our") operates the HomeScore platform, including the web application at app.homescore.io and the marketing site at homescore.io (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Service.
By accessing or using HomeScore, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account registration details: name, email address, and password.
- Billing information: processed securely through our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Profile information: your brokerage name, agent license number (optional), and custom branding preferences.
- Support communications: messages you send to our support team.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the dashboard.
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies for authentication and preference storage.
- Vercel Analytics: privacy-friendly, aggregated traffic analytics. No personally identifiable information is shared with Vercel Analytics.
2.3 Homeowner data (via your widget)
When a homeowner submits their address through a widget embedded on your website, we collect:
- Property address entered by the homeowner.
- Email address provided to receive the valuation report.
- Name (if collected by your widget configuration).
This data is stored on your behalf as the agent. As a real estate agent using HomeScore, you are the data controller for homeowner submissions. We act as a data processor on your behalf.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and provide access to the Service.
- To process payments and send billing-related communications.
- To generate home valuation reports and deliver them to homeowners via email on your behalf.
- To populate your lead dashboard with homeowner submission data.
- To send you transactional emails (e.g., new lead notifications, password resets).
- To improve the Service through aggregated, anonymized usage analysis.
- To respond to support requests and communicate about your account.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information or homeowner data to third parties.
4. Sharing of Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting). These providers are contractually bound to handle data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
- AVM data providers: We may share property address data with automated valuation model (AVM) providers to generate home value estimates. No personally identifiable homeowner information is shared beyond the property address.
- Legal obligations: We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Lead and valuation data is retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure upon request.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@homescore.io.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect your ability to log in.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed password storage, and access controls limiting who within our team can access your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@homescore.io.
9. Children's Privacy
HomeScore is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
